Window locks
Keyed window locks are the quickest security upgrade a house can get, and the first thing an insurer or a property manager asks about. We fit them to aluminium sliding windows, awning windows and timber sashes, keyed alike so one small key does every window in the house. If you’ve lost the window key, we can replace the locks with a set keyed to a new key. We also fit patio bolts to sliding doors so they can be locked ajar for airflow.
Letterbox locks
Lost the letterbox key, or moved in and never had one? We replace the cam lock on brick, steel and unit-block letterboxes and give you two keys. For units and strata, we can key a bank of letterboxes so each has its own key and the property manager holds a master for the bank. That’s the one place we do master keys: letterboxes, not doors.
Padlocks
- Keyed alike: gate, shed, side access and trailer padlocks all on one key.
- Rekeyed to your house key: some padlock ranges take a standard house key cylinder, so one key does the front door and the shed. We’ll tell you if yours can.
- Weather-resistant padlocks for the coast: brass and marine-grade padlocks that don’t seize in salt air, for gates and boat trailers in the beach suburbs.
- Lost the padlock key: we open it or cut it off, and fit a new one keyed to suit.
When it’s worth a visit
A house full of window locks, a letterbox bank in a unit block, or a set of padlocks keyed alike is worth a visit on its own. A single padlock usually isn’t, and we’ll say so. The best time for these jobs is when we’re already at the house: rekeying after you move in, fitting a new deadbolt, or fixing the screen door lock. Mention them when you book and we’ll bring the parts.

Common questions
Can all my window locks use one key?
Yes. We fit window locks keyed alike, so one key opens every window in the house. If you already have locks on different keys, we can often rekey them to match.
I’ve lost the letterbox key. Can you open it without wrecking the box?
Yes. We open it, replace the cam lock and hand you two new keys. The letterbox itself is untouched.
Can a padlock be keyed to my house key?
Some can. Padlocks that take a standard house-key cylinder can be keyed to your front door key. Tell us the padlock brand when you call, or send a photo, and we’ll say yes or no.
Will you come out for one padlock?
We can, but it’s rarely worth the call-out for you. We’ll suggest bundling it with other work, or fitting it when we’re next in your area. If it’s urgent, we’ll come.
Do you do master keys for doors?
No. The only master-keyed thing we do is a bank of letterboxes in a unit block, where the property manager holds a master and each resident has their own key.
