Locked out of the ute on site
It happens the same way every time: keys on the seat, door shut, deadlocked. We come to the site, open it without damage and you’re back to work. Lost the only key
Work vehicles are often down to one key, because the spare went with a previous driver or an apprentice. When that last key goes, we make a new one from scratch at the vehicle: cut to the lock code, transponder programmed, remote paired if it has one, and the lost key deleted so it can’t start the engine. A spare for the second driver
If you’ve got one key and two people driving the vehicle, get the second key cut now, while it’s a small job. European and Chinese utes and vans (VW Amarok and Transporter, Mercedes Sprinter and Vito, GWM Cannon, LDV T60 and G10, BYD Shark): we open them when you’re locked out, but we don’t make keys for them. Common questions
Can you make a HiLux or Ranger key on site with no key at all?
Yes. We make keys from scratch for Toyota, Ford and the other Japanese, Korean and American makes, at the vehicle. Bring ID and something that shows the vehicle is yours or your company’s.
The ute is registered to my company. Is that a problem?
No, but we’ll need to see that you’re entitled to it: ID plus something linking you to the business and the vehicle, such as the rego in the company name and a business card or fleet paperwork.
Can you open a van with the keys locked inside without damaging it?
Yes. We use proper entry tools and open vans, utes and 4WDs without damage. That includes deadlocked doors.
Do you do keys for VW Amarok, Sprinter or GWM Cannon?
We open them, but we don’t make keys for European or Chinese vehicles. For a new key on those, it’s the dealer.
