Common questions
My BMW locked itself with the key inside. Is that normal?
Very. Comfort access on newer BMWs can lock the car when it thinks the key has walked away, even when it’s on the seat. We see it every week.
Will opening it set off the alarm?
It may chirp when the door opens. That stops as soon as you use your key. No damage, no fault codes.
Do I need to prove it’s my car?
Yes. We’ll ask for your licence and something showing the BMW is yours before we open it.
